The Late Present with Stephen Colbert won’t air a pre-recorded interview with Jeremy Piven after the actor was accused of sexual assault.
“Jeremy Piven’s interview for Friday’s broadcast was pre-taped earlier this week on Monday, October 30. Since we have been unable to deal with latest developments in that interview, we’re changing that phase with a brand new visitor,” a spokesperson for The Late Present advised The Hollywood Reporter.
Piven was set to look on the CBS late-night present to advertise the community’s drama Knowledge of the Crowd.
As beforehand reported, the allegations in opposition to the Entourage actor have been made by actress and former actuality star Ariane Bellamar on Monday, October 30. The previous Beverly Hills Nannies star took to Twitter to elucidate her alleged encounters with Piven.
“Hey @jeremypiven! ‘Member once you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set? ‘Member grabbing my boobies on the [couch emoji] with out asking??” she wrote. ‘Member once I tried to depart; you grabbed me by the ass, checked out your self within the mirror, & mentioned what a ‘stunning couple’ we made? #MeToo.”
Piven denied the accusations in an announcement to Us Weekly, saying, “I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me. It didn’t occur.”
He added: “It takes quite a lot of braveness for victims to come back ahead with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t occur, don’t detract from tales that must be heard.”
Bellamar responded to The Late Present’s resolution to not air Piven’s phase on Twitter. “Thanks, @StephenAtHome, for being one of many good dudes,” she wrote. “No marvel you’re my little woman’s #LateNight tremendous hero.”
