Investigators are headed to Uzbekistan to talk with authorities there about New York truck assault suspect Sayfullo Saipov, a Federal official tells PEOPLE.
“They plan to fulfill with their counterparts to listen to what, if something, is understood of the suspect’s actions,” the official mentioned. The official shouldn’t be licensed to speak with the press, and spoke on the situation of anonymity.
“The crew will need to ask about the place [the suspect] travelled, and when,” the official mentioned. “They’ll ask for data on his contacts in Uzbekistan, who they’re, and whether or not they’re on any watch standing.”
